Dear Joaquim, Congratulations! Your film PELO OUVIDO has been named an official selection at the 2009 Route 66 Film Festival to be held in Springfield, Illinois on September 19-20, 2009. After being named one of the 25 festivals worth the fee in Moviemaker Magazine, we received many more than the usual number of entries. Making our selections this year was extremely difficult and we had to pass up many excellent films. You have a right to be proud of your film. If you have not already done so, please send short bio, which may be edited for length, to be used in the program. Posters or other promotional materials are also welcome for display at the festival. You and a guest are invited to attend the festival free of charge, as well as the pre-festival party on Friday, September 18 from 6:00 p.m. to midnight. We will have free food and drinks and will be showing three films that were too good to miss, but would not fit in our festival schedule. Your cast and crew are welcome at the party too. Please let us know how many will attend and we will send the details and party location. We are negotiating for special festival rates at area hotels and will forward that information later.
